YG Entertainment is preparing to debut a new girl group for the first time since the debut of 2NE1 in 2009. In early April, the agency revealed a photo of a girl through their blog, YG-Life, making many wonder who she was as they had not indicated her name, age nor affiliations.
A practice video of trainees Kim Eunbi and Euna Kim was also released.
On May 4th, a second photo was uploaded on YG-Life with the similar caption, “WHO’S THAT GIRL?”.
On May 11th, YG Entertainment released a video entitled “WHO’S THAT GIRL?” and follows a mysterious girl’s movement and blacking out the remainder of the screen, as she practices dancing with at least 5 other girls.
At the end of the video, said trainee’s profile is seen reading, “The 5th.” Only her age is released, 16 years old, while her name and nationality are blanked as unknown.
